BIKER School of English offers you the extraordinary trip over Polish language, that will both help you to solve the problems you may have encountered while using it and make you feel comfortable next time when it comes to speak our native language. Although Polish may seem complicated at first sight, our enthusiastic, experienced and professional teachers will guide you to it, teaching every necessary language skill in everyday communication in Poland.

Our teachers are graduates from The Polish philology as well as from The Polish Culture and Teaching Polish as a Foreign Language Postgraduate College both placed at Silesia University, which enables them to use all their knowledge and abilities for you to master our language. We teach according to professional methods elaborated by experienced university workers. We apply newest, attractive and effective forms of teaching. In our standard didactic activities we combine grammatical method with communicative method, which makes it possible for a student to master not only the grammatical system of Polish but also the ability to communicate in different communicative situations.

The acquired knowledge and abilities are contained in spheres of:

  • grammar
  • listening comprehension
  • reading comprehension
  • writing
  • speaking

Apart from that, in the course of teaching we deliver knowledge about culture and history of Poland. In response to the specific needs of our students, we adjust teaching methods to the attainment of some specific linguistic abilities, e.g. in extended sphere of:

  • communication
  • writing
  • specialist vocabulary

It is students who decide whether teaching will be conducted in a standard way or under special, oriented conditions. Every student is obliged to purchase an appropriate course-book.

Our offer includes also outdoor classes (classes in a museum, in a library and sightseeing-tours).
We provide different types of learning schedule according to the needs of our students:

  • 2×2/week i.e. 2 lessons/day, 2 days/week
  • 4×2/week
  • individual schedule of learning

We offer you preparation for the following levels of Polish lg. examinations:

Państwowy Egzamin Certyfikatowy z Języka Polskiego jako Obcego (the State Certificate in Polish as a Foreign Language) can be taken on three levels:

  • elementary level (poziom podstawowy) – can be compared to the Council of Europe B1 level, ZD in German, PET in English and CEFP2 in French;
  • intermediate level (poziom średni ogólny) – the Council of Europe B2 level, FCE in English and DL in French;
  • advanced level (poziom zaawansowany) – the Council of Europe C2 level, ZOP and KDS in German, CPE in English and DHEF in French).

All the classes can take place in the BIKER School of English building and at your place.
